I did my car theory test a couple of months ago and have just booked my bike theory. Someone told me the bike theory test is harder than car. Is this true?

Thanks

Although the theory test wasnt thought of when I did my car test, I believe it is the same format. Not sure it will be any harder. I got the book containing all the multiple choice questions in it, and bought the car one 1st by mistake, got the motorcycle one off e-bay. The questions, give or take a couple of bike specific ones, were pretty much the same. The hazard perception c.d. had me baffled, as I seemed to be pressing a little to early for the hazard and not scoring any points. think, as it is designed for learner riders, I was seeing the hazard before most learner drivers would. anyway, I am sure if you passed your car theory test, you should have no problem with the motorbike ones, but would invest in the official DVLA motorbike theory questions book and the hazard perception for motorcycles cd rom. (both can probably be found off e-bay, could have had mine but leant them out) Good luck anyway. Thumbs Up

What Drew said - there are a lot of common questions that can appear in all of the theory tests (inc. LGV and PCV theory tests), but there are also specific questions about the vehicle you're taking the test for (if you see what I mean).

If you managed your car theory test with no bother then you shouldn't find the 'bike theory test too difficult.

The DSA publish a book that lists all the questions for a specific group. You might find a copy in your local library, or try eBay or Amazon for a second hand copy (but make sure it's a recent one - the questions do change from time to time).

As always, make sure you read the question properly before putting pen to paper!
