I went to a car auction this week in London and they were selling bikes that had been repossessed. Personally I'd never buy a bike that had this kind of history! But if you're not a guilt-trap kind of person, it might be a good way to get wheels.

PS I saw a 750cc Ducati sell for £950 which seemed cheap to me - it looked in good condition.

PS The numberplate was N798 XDO, in case anyone knows whose bike this was and wants to try and get it back!

I always keep an eye out on the local auction house that deals with bankrupt's/bailiffs etc..

Last one I went to bikes were going for rediculous money.

Two that come to mind H-Reg NC30 T&T went for £290 +10% buyers premium.

A rather nice looking 2004 Pan European £2100 + buyers premium.

Also good for my habit of buying bangers, quite reguarly get cars selling for less than £10 that are still roadworthy etc..

Only things to beware are everything is sold as seen etc... Everything is in cash as well unless your cheque guarantee card can cover it
