mmm sometimes they do come like that (its a gasket) i prefer the ones that have the reducer that come from the standard 50mm down to 45mm and have no gasket at all. just a metal to metal connection. go to a bike shop and get a gasket and try and tighten down and see if you get a good seal,

i doubt very much that you'll get it out of your pipe with out wrecking it. i personally have never got one out with out busting it up.
its not glued there but with the tightness of it and the heat, it'll want to stay there you can give it a try :d

Fitting exhausts together properly can be a huge pain in the arsee. Half the time it seems to be the case that there are gaskets missing, so getting a nice seal is a nightmare. At least, that's the way it seems. I think the manufacturers fit them together without, but once you've taken it to pieces a few times it never seems to fit together the same. V-Twins and big singles with multiple manifolds have been the bane of my short time fitting exhausts together. ____________________ I must not be a troll...

What difference has it made to how your bike runs?
I fitted mine last saturday, and I have noticed that it starts much easier in the morning, the engine is smoother running and more torque low down. The front comes up when I set off at lights now like it did before whan I had a pillion on the back.
And of course the sound. It is so thoroughly awsome, the bike sounds like a rocket, when ticking over it has an amazing bassy note. People stop to see me coming past and little dogs bark at me.. And that's with a baffle in on a road legal can..
It is like having an entirely new bike with a bigger engine.. ____________________ Suzuki SV650 naked Blue curvy with Givi Screen and G force can. |

Bike is seems to be running much the same as how you found actually. Performance change is quite noticeable (just like the sound).
However, my baffle "fell out" before I even put the can on though |
