It's your licence it applies to your car, bike, lorry mistress and what ever else you have on it.

Also the storing of this info can contravene the data protection act. even if it has been volunteered.

If this is stored on a machine and used for any reason it will be a breach of the DPA.

Just another point to watch.

The thing that I dont get is, for 2 years you have a limit of 6 points then it goes up to 12, however I've had my car licence for years then I got the bike bit added so can I get 6 or 12 points before losing it?

12 points Hex

The 6 point thing doesnt apply if you have had a licence for over 2 years - cos its the same licence - just a new category added.

Clean now, did have three points for UCA a few years ago. Thought it was four years they were on the licence for? Problem is most insurance companies ask for 5 years worth of convictions, so even when they come off they ask for them to be declared. Some of them are asking for more and more now, I've seen 5 years for accidents and 10 years for claims, fault or non fault!

It was for not displaying L-Plates, the code for it is LC20 and i recently got a letter from the DVLA telling me to send my license back to be replaced with a new one. And as far as insurance goes, telling them i had an LC20 in the last 5 years doesn't really bother me because it added about 20 quid to my premium. Laughing

Whats UCA stand for?

So did the police witness you jumping the red light? or did a camera catch you or something?
I am only asking coz the other day I accidently skipped a redlight while looking at roadsigns in a town I didn't know.

Well what happened was:

It was bout 1 in the morning on my home from being down the front. 2 sets of lights, 1st were green assumed 2nd were green, police pulling out of the junction had to swerve out of the way as i went through it Embarassed , i claimed it was going amber and would have come off if i had tried to stop, they still gave me the three points tho Evil or Very Mad . There are a couple of Jump Cameras around my way too, and they're not painted Evil or Very Mad .

I am not very happy now. My karma as gone from 2 green blobs to a red one in the space of 2mins. Whats going on????

Any way I recieved 3points for overtaking a row of cars that were waiting at a level crossing, I decided to go to the front of the que and I got stopped for doing that!

The copper must have been board as I was waiting for about 5 minutes b4 he pulled me!

Seems harsh. I thought the rules would be the same as at a pedestrian crossing with zig-zag lines. You are allowed to overtake cars but not the car nearest to the crossing.

Well mr police officer also tried to have me for my pipe, even though that the pipe clearly had YAMAHA writtin down the side of it. He also tried to do me for the number plate being illegal, which I can forgive him for that as seeing it was a anti flash plate Cool.

It was just a good job I had just come back from having a new rear tyre fitted to my bike, as the other one was bold to the bone Crying or Very sad

An ex colleague got done for 81mg Rolling Eyes . He would probably have got away with it, but was cheeky to the copper driving him to the station.

Mind you, after breath testing him, etc, they gave him his car keys to drive himself home!

All the best
