I'm very happy with their price and service, so thought I would share my experience with you all.

My current insurer's (CIS) renewal premium was £920 comprehensive, 2 years no claims, £100 excess, no garage conditions, can ride other bikes third party, and take a pillion.

I've tried many insurers this year and the cheapest I got was with eBike: £789 comprehensive, 2 years no claims, £500 excess, garaged between 22:00 and 06:00 when at the property, no riding other bikes, and no pillion.

Then I tried Bikenet (Autonet 0871 711 2223) and my jaw hit the floor, don't let their expensive online quote fool you (www.bikenetinsurance.co.uk). Around 20 minutes after getting some crazy quotes online, they phoned me and went through the "we'll see what we can do" process. They were by far the cheapest for me and their policy includes the same features I already have, although their excess is higher than I currently have, yet still lower than other quotes. The only stipulation with the bike being garaged is that it's locked in the garage whenever it's within 500 metres of the property, it's still covered if not, but the excess is doubled. Amy Preston and Neil Rawlings were both very friendly, polite and helpful, and explained things clearly.

£530 comprehensive, 2 years no claims, £450 excess, see above for garage conditions, can ride other bikes third party, can take a pillion, and I'm sure they said helmet and leathers are covered. This cost includes legal fees, new arrangement fee and a courtesy vehicle. I already have breakdown cover.

The paperwork arrived yesterday morning, less than a day after the phone call, and all was in order. They've even phoned my current insurer already to confirm my no claims discount.
