Frank Thomas aquaboot... Big loose wellies that smell almost instantly after making your feet roast - not good at all...
In terms of all in one waterproof, I have just bought one which so far I am impressed with (although its not been out in the rain on a bike yet)
Its a Bering Niagara, lovely suit, padded double flapped etc and to counteract the wet crotch problem it has a crotch flap to stop water getting in - awesome! Anyone else got one/used one? What do you think?
cheers

Worst bit of gear I've ever used have to be akito piranha textile pants. They were cheap at £40, but definately not cheerful. Their not waterproof (usual leak around the crotch), their 100% not breathable AT ALL, so you take them off and steam billows out, like wearing a sodding sauna, and the insides are soaking and then they start to smell strongly of catpiss... oh and they've started tearing at the seams where you sit on the bike.
Bit crap really, and I've only worn them literally 4 times. Avoid ____________________ TL1000s, KDX200 |

My Frank Thomas Aquaguard Advanced Jacket they kept falling apart at the seams. . I replaced two in 4 months but by the time the third one started to fall to bits I just gave up. So I wasn't that disappointed to see it get nicked when the bike was stolen! ____________________ Using a mobile phone while driving a car should be made a capital offence! |

Frank Thomas Streetmate gloves, 100% Waterproof and breathable.
Or rather, 100% unbreathable and leak like a sieve. The cuffs tore loose after a couple of low speed offs and the stitching holding the velcro disintegrated. ____________________ I must not be a troll...

Hi
Frank Thomas Aqua Gloves. Early set in the late 80s. Leather on the fingers wore out in no time at all. Pretty close tie with the Akito waterproof trousers which leaked badly within about 2 months of buying them.
Does seem to be a pattern to problems with Frank Thomas or Akito stuff.
Currently got some HG trousers and a Spidi jacket, and very happy with both of them.
All the best

my acctual worst bit of kit was my 1st helmet which i got with my cpi scooter it was/is an apex, cheap shity helmet, but i never came off in it so i wouldnt be able to evaluate its preformance.
as for my current worst pice of kit it would be my dinese gloves, £75 they cost me and ive had them about 4 months and theve already got a hole in the little finger and have ripped on the cuff, the palm part of the glove is about to go thru, the little blue pice of leather on the end of both thumbs is coming off, id hate to think how theyd fair in a crash if thats what happens to them after 6000 ish miles of riding!
my sidi black rain evo boots have given me athlets foot (again) because they are so warm and water proof they make your feet swet in freezing cold temperatures and they are so water proof that you have swet puddles in them. i wouldnt say there a bad pice of kit, they do exactly what they say they do but they do it to damn well lol.
the pice's of kit im most pleased with are:
my richa leather bottoms, seam to be very well made and are very comfortable
my richa textile jacket and bottoms they are extremly warmand comfortable
my nito n810vx helmet very good for the money only bad thing is the vents feel cheap
and my sidi boots even tho i complain about them
EDIT - andhow can i forget my dynamic leather jacket 20 quid 2nd hand out of paper does its job just isnt very warm, hence the new richa textiles for winter ____________________ Current .. 2008 BMW R 1200 GS Adventure ..
