Going into Morrissons today I noticed a sign on the revolving doors stating you had to remove your helmet to go into the store.

That I have no problem with, who wants to leave their lid on anyway in a shop?

POINT. A muslim women with burka's on asked to do the same?

While we're at it, are they asked to remove them in petrol stations?

What are your views????

i was asked to remove my lid at a petrol station the other day,

took it off and had a balacalava underneith,

was asked to take that off aswell,

muslim woman pulls up next to me and isnt asked to remove her burka, which i didnt think was fair.

yeh its part of their religion but thats racial discrimination against anyone who aint that religion.

Come to think of it, if they've got a turban on they don't have to wear helmets!

Burka's, Turbons!

Who's discriminated against?

We have to wear helmets by law !!!!!! Confused

i aint a fan of any religions,

And dont have any real beliefs myself,

and i feel that NO one and NO religion should get special treatment,

dont care if they are ment to keep there faces covered, that isnt fair on people who are of different faith who need to take coverings off.

im not meaning to sound racist, but i jsut dont feel its fair for people in different religions to get treated differently,

if the law can do this,

then they should make different laws for motorbikes and cars, such as make undertaking legal, and raise bike speed limits Very Happy

Last year a Tesco petrol station "told me" not asked, to remove my helmet or he wouldnt serve me. I had filled up and was waiting to pay, I refused. He said I will not serve you then, I said your choice but it will give me a full tank of fuel for free.....Guess what, he took my money. Rolling Eyes

i dont return to places that ask me to take my helmet off
i doubt there are many armed robberies or occasions of not paying for fuel done by people in burkas

if it becomes a problem, it might become appropriate but i doubt it will

To be fair they would be a pretty ace disguise. You aint gonna get searched, you aint gonna draw much suspicion just mocking looks.

Do whatever you plan, leg it, chuck the dress afterwards.

What did he look like... erm... like tonto... but more covered.

Right. Only works for women obviously but still.

I was told by my local Tesco garage that i "really should have that off while im in here". To which i replied that
1. I worked in the superstore
2. My bike is very distinctive (the only one ive seen in Scotland)
3. They have my numberplate the moment i drive onto the forecourt
That and im just a nice guy, and its fookin cold out!

I was asked to take off my helmet when I was in a Post Office, sending a parcel. Thing is, it was a flip front lid that was flipped. I asked why as she could see my face, she replied that she couldn't see my hair. She didn't like it when I asked if she wanted me to untuck my hair from my jacket so she could see the rest of it! Next time I'm in there I might ask what their policy on Burkha's is.

Just remembered a funny moment in a shop with a woman wearing a burkha.

Not only was she wearing a burkha, which was of great amusement to myself and cog head but she had beer bottomed glasses sticking out of the eye slits.

If you can picture me and cog head trying to keep a straight face while hiding behind each other taking photo's with our mobiles. The missus was trying to drag us away but we were in fits of laughter every time we caught a glimps of the glasses.

Top day to remember Laughing Laughing
