My 3 year old got hold of the digital camera (Sony DSC40) and pressed buttons and it's not working the way it used to - does anyone know how I can find out how to reset it to the factory settings? Thanks!

Whats the difference between a 6MP digital camera and a 6MP SLR?

is that the DSC-S40? cant find a reset procedure for it so dont think you can

yes Siggi SLR (single lens reflex) what you see through the viewfinder is how the image will turn out rather than compact cameras that use an offset viewfinder that doesnt truly show what your image will turn out like.

Is the screen white. If so it's a know problem (see here). From that site

Even if screen not white this may solve your issues.

The previous answer is correct, but the main functinal difference is, an SLR will take many lenses, while a standard digital camera will have a lens built in...
