can anyone tell me if they have had any dealings with this site.
My mum ordered a bike for my daughter in July, it was supposed to be delivered in August. Unfortunately we are still waiting.
I wondered if anyone had actually received their orders or if it is likely my mum has been ripped off?

What have they said about the order being late ?
What did she use to pay for it ? If it was a credit card get onto them.

from reading these:
https://pitbike.forumwise.com/pitbike-forum-14.html

some people have been waiting 5-6 months for their bikes.

I get the impression (Power Off Road is a sole trader, VAT registration number 790407426) that he's just one guy, and I'm guessing he waits for a container-worth's of orders before he places an order with his supplier in China (or wherever it's coming from)

I think my mum paid by cheque. Apparently every time she contacts them they say the order will be delivered in the next couple of weeks. This has been going on for months now, so it doesn't look too promising

your bike might be okay, but others aren't.

Quote:
Firstly, the suspension was completely inadequate. Secondly, the brake disks on the front and the rear appeared to fail to meet the minimum standards laid out by European standards. And thirdly, the front fork assembly was twisted and would give a rider a serious problem. In his view, the bike was unsafe to be used.

I'd not want to deal with a company that's supply stuff that doesn't meet EU standards, and even then, isn't assembled properly.

Doesn't matter how good it looks if it's crap quality.

good point. My bikes excellent though.... either way i dont know about other people but me and my mates bikes are wicked.

wicked how?

If the braking systems aren't up to recommended standards, how do you know they will continue to function in the correct manner?

Most of these dodgy import mini-motos are giving the motorcycling community as a whole a bad name. They are being ridden on the streets without licence, without protective equipment, by (on the whole) chavs, pikies and idiots who don't know any better.

They are noisey, and a nuisance, and motorcyclists are paying the price in the crackdown on them.

I'm all for using a proper mini-moto on a track, or private land, but selling these to people when it's well known they will use them on the road/pavement/public land is just idiotic.

if you want to ride a stupid, potentially dangerous piece of poor quality chinese tat, then feel free. But stay off the roads and public places.

I'd have hoped you wouldn't have to, if it was quality kit.

I said "on the whole" not all riders will be chavs, but it's the impression these sort of bikes carry, and you will (unfortunately) get tarred with that brush on more than one occasion

they "make you"? why? don't you WANT to protect your head?

cool.. it's how it should be Smile

Just make sure the farmer doesn't end up in front of the beak if someone complains, however.. he can get done for breach of planning laws if his field is used for more than some percentage of the year, for activities other than farming. It can happen.
