At this years TT, I was stood at Parliament Square watching the usual goings on, surprised at how easy going the police seemed to be about loud cans, small plates, etc, when some bloke pulls into the square on a GSXR thou with his plate still flipped up Shocked . The dibble pounced on him and quickly set about (trying) to give him a ticket.
Dunno if he just forgot it was up, but the copper couldn't work out how to get it back down to read reg to issue ticket Laughing It looked like it was wired up to his pass (flash) light.

So the drill has a left and right switch which is extended to the bars...i understand that bit, but when you press the button how do you stop it spinning round and round.

And if you do stop it, it would burn out wouldn't it? Confused

In reality you do get done for this, remember last year a biker was done in a car park as the police spotted the device. Guy wasnt even on the bike at the time.

Might be different down in England, but no defence in Scotland Confused

there is a stop, so it can only turn 180 degrees

you spin it left, then off, then spin it right and off again to get it back

so motor is only in uses when changing status of plate

as mentioned, danger is leaving it down by mistake and being spotted
