So, what situations would you feel its appropriate to use your starter button in?

my first bike didnt have one, and i knew that if i cdnt kickstart it, i cd still bump it

now, i have one bike that is automatic so cant be bumped, and one that is fuel injected which i think also means it cant be bumped

so i feel overly reliant on the start button

id like an alternative, but generally its perfectly adequate for starting the engine

Yeah and don't even think about riding it if you don't know how to put it on a paddock stand on your own Rolling Eyes

Mine starts/restarts my lap timer. I get time, top speed, ave speed, fuel consumption and stuff for 99 laps. Just need to hit the starter to start the next lap.

I'm confused...you mean the start button as in....

Pull your clutch in and press the button and your bike fires up?.....When wouldn't you use this?

How do you bump, just push the bike along and drop the clutch?

Toby, what the hell kind of question is that?

Am i the only one thats completely and utterly confused as to what the hell you mean?

Surely you cant be asking what you appear to be asking?

If so, then my answer is as follows:

"The main situation that i feel that use of my starter button is appropriate, is when i want to start the fucking thing. When the hell else?"

Yeah,

Put in an order for the stud I need, it was 98p, and the minimum order at Spares Direct is £5, so ordered a few bits and bobs (Gaskets, etc), put the phone down and realised the next day I needed 2 new airbox screws as currently my airbox is held on via the carb clamps and some luck.

Shite.

He snapped a screw that holds the oil filter casing on. Not exactly the end of the world Laughing

You still got two bolts there, use them. Get a set of moleys on the snapped thread and twist it out. If not, drill it and re-tap it Thumbs Up
