I did it... I'm not proud of it.. but I finally did it.

I put the liner back in my jacket.

Lovely ride in tho.. beautifully sunny.. roads seemed quieter, and the
FJR and I just gelled.

a good start to the day.

i tried my heated vest for the first time yesterday and it was great Thumbs Up ,
a little too hot on the back due to me wearing a rucksack so disconnected that bit, but overall, well worth it.

add to that the buff around the neck and it's all good Wink

just thought i'd mention-
saw a woman on a ped this morning, wearing high heeled shoes Thumbs Up FANTASTIC!, what a prick! Razz

I nearly got flattened this morning, by a sexy bitch in a huge BMW doing her makeup whilst not bothering to stop at a roundabout for me. I scraped past her, hooted, and took my exit, where I saw a policecar parked next to the road with a cop observing the roundabout. He just looked at me and shaked his head in disbelief after seeing it all, but didn't bother putting down his coffee..

But Feck Me, I was colder than a well-digger's arse..

LOL!! Laughing I did exactly the same thing - lining in the jacket - looking a bit more like the Michelin man today! I'll wait till it's really cold before I put the lining in my trousers!

No point in being cold. We've enough to concentrate on without cold distracting us. Quilted lining is in & I'll be wearing my thick thermal longjohns (very sexy Very Happy ) under leathers when I go out at the weekend!

Bought some of those heated over grip things (ie you keep your grips) at the NEC for £25

They're great.

Still in leathers though, I put off textiles to the end, because I tend to sweat in them, especially the trousers. ie they're ok for riding in, but as soon as you try walking, shopping etc, you sweat and they then stink.

I'm in the textiles, cos I don't have any leathers yet.

The heated grips went on for the first time last night (cos I use summer gloves all year round)
and the linings went into my textiles ready for this mornings ride.

Hah, lining went back in my jacket months ago.

I've been wearing thermal gloves for about a month.
My textile trousers with thermal lining arrived today too.

I have been wearing trainers though, and the gap between the top of my trainers and the bottom of my trousers is just enough for my ancles to freeze solid.

Boots every time for me from now on.

Just need a top-box to store all my crap in now.

I have a summer riding jacket but it ain't as well-padded as the winter one so I'd rather be soaking with sweat than unprotected.

Having said that, I did use to run around Norway in just a t-shirt.
