HELP!!!!!

Ok.

I was waiting at the lights in 1st with the clutch in, went to accelerate and there was a loud pop. The bike cut out and i felt a great heat from under the petrol tank. As i re-started it it sounded really rough, so i pulled into a bus stop- it still chugging away.

I got off and couldnt see anything wrong. It revved fine so i set off again and it seemed fine to me.

Any ideas what might have happened????

could be a stuck/sticky inlet valve causing a backfire thru the carbs. Sounds like a cough?

Sounded like a cough then like.........if you go 'brrrrrrrrrrr' with your lips and its a GSXR600 K4 but i only had it a year from new.

There might water in the petrol.Thats all i can think at the moment.

Hmmm, ok then.

I think you need to up the amount of petrol it is getting.It is running to
lean and this is couseing it run to hot because of the exaust you have.
you might need to change to a different air filter as well.
check the color of the plugs and see if this tells you anything.

Well - im not sure.

I bought an 04 model on an 05 plate over a year ago, so i dont think it is
