Tried to get hold of a new stud bolt for the oil filter cover from a few places, managed to get one but along the way someone told me the particular bolt had been superseded from 01411-06207 to 01421-06208? Why would you bother designing a new bolt?

I know they're supposed to be prone to snapped on GS500's but still? Was there ever a recall on them?

Just curious really, sad I know.

Hi

Possibly they changed the material. Possibly they just standardised it. Possibly they changed the oil filter cover and then the stud was changed to suit.

All the best
