ok changed my needle for a new one and now the bike is being a bitch wont tick over properly and aint got the mid range punch any more so what setup should the screws o the side be @t ???


need help asap meant to be doign a 60 mile journey in 4 hours !!!

also the white plastic thing in the reed block do i remove this???


final one if i was to drill holes in air box what would i have to do to counter act this (been told it wont rev correctly)

yes i did just put the old needle back in and still wont tick over i have had a small fiddle with the 2 scres on the side so upset it Sad any help on standard settings just for today

The unsprung screw - nip it up then wind it out one and a half turns. Might need up to 2 and a half to run smoothly. This is mixture screw (air : fuel)

The sprung screw - this is idle speed... get the bike running and adjust this one way to speed up the idle revs, and the other to slow em down. Want it set to about 1400rpm if memory serves correct for that bike.

If you drill the airbox you'll have to go up on the jet sizes or you'll run lean and risk siezure.

What white plastic thing?

grrr the idle screw seems to be doing verry little what position is the needle bottom?

on the 2nd notch from top (set 25 on 2nd notch of 24)

what does having it down so low do Question so i might aswel put the old needle back in as that might be the problem also hile i am at it the white block int he reed valves worth removing?a nd adding extra airflow can it be done with the jets i have (something for me to do tomorrow)

about the plastic block in the reeds , do not remove it's a guide for the intake mixture

pilot screw 2 1/2 turns out
idle screw 1400 rpm +- 100
air box filter well cleaned

revs are hangign now and if you give it a fist full of revs from idle it stallss Evil or Very Mad damn machine
