which is my son getting into the local football team, and after a few matches, they made him the captain, as football is my second hobby, it was massive joy to watch my son play the game I love and so does he,

he always plays with a smile on his face, works harder on the field than anyone one else (of course im biased), I encourage him but will never push him, (no remarks about his eyes!!!!

My daughter plays football with two local girls teams
one is a youth league the other is a premier league U16's
she is also training with the scottish womans U16 & 18's
thought she's still to get a game at national level
she has won a few player of the year awards as well at 13 & 14

isn't it great, that that you can see thee enjoyment on your troopers face, when they are doing something that they love, which is also healthy for them, I have three boys the other two are in to computer games,TV, where lewis the footballer loves being out in the fresh air running and playing,

when there on about obesity if more kids got in to sporting activity, instead of x boxes comps etc, wouldn't that solve the problem?????

my son's (11 & 16) are into music and games
they spend most of the time in there rooms with there guitars, drum's and Sax
or there on the x-box or PS2

but listening to them play always brings a smile to my face
as there pretty talented (I'm a sound engineer in my spare time)

my eldest Kyle 14 plays the keyboard real well, reads music (how do they do that) and can master nearly any song within minutes, but as most teenagers is to lazy, sooner go on x box live

for me it was daughter this weekend finally going off the lead rein on her pony, a huge step considering pony can be bit lairy on occasion!! She had a massive grin on her face!! - she has done bits n bobs before but did a whole ride off the lead and whilst it was nice to see her bobbing off down the road on her own with said pony, was also a bit scary!!

My daughter, Chelsea. Shes 13 now, born at 29 weeks, weighed under 2Ib. She suffered oxygen starvation and damaged her left hand side of her brain so has cerebal paulsey (a right sided hemiplaegia).
She never ever lets anything get her down, bubbly, happy and gives absolutley 150% in everything she does.
I am so proud of her and her mum who works tirelessly to help her and look after her.

Following on

My son now 16 has played football since he was 5, now I watch him play Sunday Pub Football, but its amazing how the years have shot by though. I still get tremendous satisfaction from watching him, even more so when he gets stuck in with the 'grown ups'. He had trials for Brighton &HA years ago and played alongside Rhys Murphy who is at Arsenal Academy (11 goals in 7 games so far this season) and England U16s'. We are rooting for him big time.
