How should you dispose of an old lid? I now have 4 and realy dont think i need that many. So I have 2 old AGV lids to get rid of, one was dropped twice and the other was crashed in. Both useable but not realy worth anything to sell cus they were only about 2p in the first place. So how do i get rid of them?
Thanks
J

Hi

Not sure, but maybe ask the local fire station / amubulance station / St Johns ambulance if they want them for practicing with.

All the best

Keith

After I'd crashed and minced my first lid, I gave it to the ambulance station who'd come out and scraped my hide off the road. To be honest, they didn't seem to know what to do with it, but never mind.

Old lids can still be useful - stuff like karting where you don't want to use theirs but don't want to take along your shiny one.

As a face mask for various things, such as angle grinding, fireworks firing, hot deep fat frier's etc.

council skip.

Seriously, put it in a bag and dump it there.

Or give it to a charity shop.

Some chav who would normally spend £30 protecting them on their ped, might be better off.

if your going to take them down the tip i was told to cut the chin straps off them to stop them being reused or sold on, may sound mean but if its been dropped an unsuspecting punter wouldnt know who thought they were being offered a bargain

You say that, but I used two old lids for hanging baskets (in the days of home ownership) and they looked bloody good, actually! Laughing
