I'm not a teckie so please bear with me on this.

I have an old Sony 8mm camcorder which i used to take some footage at weekend. The question is 'Can the film somehow be downloaded onto the net?

Its not digital, its not hi8 just a standard 6 yr old 8mm tape.
I have a lead to copy it onto VHS but there's no scart type lead.

Thanks Confused

few ways to do this
you can buy Video to PC box for a few quid but they normally req a digital out from the Video player
or some PC's can go video capture directly into the graphics cards
ot you can buy a capture card with all sorts of connectors inc standard analog that can connect to a video via the lead from the video
that you connect to your TV

see the link for a few examples and prices
Analog video to USB

another good site with lots of info on how to make your own DVD's & movies
and burn them to disk etc
Video help dot com
