Life on Mars/Vodafone ad?

[TheShaggyDA]

There's an ad on TV at the mo (think it's Vodafone, but might be wrong) that has a guy sitting by a campfire with a guitar, playing Life on Mars. Any idea whether it's an available cover, or was it just done for the ad?

I like that version as well
but I have an accoustic version of bowie playing it (he wrote the song)
thats my favorite version
I also like the other one they use "another planet" (think its was the new york dolls that did the original ver of that one

Which one, the acoustic or the original? I have the original (and a couple of rather crap covers) but would love a copy of the acoustic too.

Here's the original. I don't have any decent acoustics.

for what its worth the song in the Vodafone advert is 'Another Girl, Another planet' by The Only Ones i believe.

Also the guy doing the bowie cover is most prob in homage to Seu Jorge who plays and sings bowie songs in Spanish and on a spanish guitar in Wes Anderson's film (staring Bill Murry - and worth checking out if you like weird films!) 'The Life Aquatic'...................just so's you know

...ill get me coat
