HI all

I am looking for some nerdy pc t shirt for the other half for xmas...
I have done a google, but it's either usa that won't post here, or some rubbish non-funny uk stuff

Basically, I want some funny code/hacker/linux/pc geek type t-shirt

Something a pc nerd would find funny, you know the type! Laughing

Anyone know of anywhere on t'internet?

All help v much appreciated Karma

You looking to buy one or have one made up?

If you're having one made up, someones signature reads:

"There are only 10 types of people. Those who understand binary and those who don't."

https://cache.spreadshirt.net/users/234000/233468/products/233468_3061442_1_huge.jpg

I don't get this one, but I presume it is something funny to a geek.

127.0.0.1 is the IP address of "localhost", i.e. the computer you are on, i.e. "Home".

Not really that funny. Most people I know refer to it as localhost, so "Localhost sweet localhost" loses the gag.

You could always print your own...

use the classic
"There are 10 types of people in the world, those who understand binary, and those who don't"

or something... Smile

Go to https://www.farcanal.biz/catalog/index.php and type 'computer' into the search bit.

That comes up with 5, but there's probably more if you search a bit.

Or they'll print any that you come up with.

Cheers,

Byrnie.

I dunno. This one?

Q: how many programmers does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
A: none. It's a hardware problem

or, my personal favourite:

Jesus Saves..
..but only your sysadmin makes incremental backups

oh, and rfc-3330 always referred to the 127.0.0.0/8 block as being the loopback addresses and that's what it was referred to in TCP/IP Illustrated, so that name helps disambiguate it from anything else that can possibly be called "home". In a unix environment, home can more accurately describe the user's home directory or any physical network that the machine's connected to. The '~' notation is called home more often (ie ~, ~username), so "~ sweet ~" might be an idea, but nobody would get it.

needless to say, I wouldn't wear a geek t-shirt unless I was having a serious laundry crisis, and even then it'd only be so long as nobody saw me wearing it Confused

Thats how I read it!

That and "loopback sweet loopback"

What about "404 Error, Slogan not found"
