A restricted RS125 would be fine on a CBT, if you're 17.

A restricted RS125 would be ok on a CBT.

You are restricted to 125cc & 14.6 BHP, a derestricted RS125 makes about 29 BHP.

Basically a CBT license will allow you to ride ALL 4 stroke bikes (CG125, XL125, SR125, EN125, GS125, GZ125, etc) but not DERESTRICTED 2 stroke bikes (LS125, RS125, NSR125, DT125)

(This is a general rule and some 2 stroke bikes can be ridden on a CBT like an RXS100 or a H100).

The aprillia rs 125 is a fantastic wee bike. I had mine for a couple of years and loved her to bits, restriced they will do 80mph. If you get one thats in good condition you wont regret it, many a fun mile to be had Mr. Green

This was taken this summer, looks good dont you think?

Very sexy looking bike aye !

Im not too sure how much a 2nd hand would cost that is in good condition.
A mate of mine said anything £1,500 up is probably goin to do me well for a while. I would appreciate any enlightenment(sp) on this Smile

Srry for all the questions btw

hi mate, ive got an rs125 and its a great bike. as said, restricted they will do about 80mph, they handle really really well, and they are lookers too Cool
you'll pick one up from anything from 1000 quid upwards, i paid a grand for mine back in june ('99 t plate), but it needed a few repairs on the bodywork and a respray.
you will need to run it on good fully sythnetic 2 stroke oil i.e castrol tts, and keep on top of the maintenance, but if you get a good one then you wont be dissapointed.
i pay 100 quid tpft insurance, but then i am nearly 27, not sure what it would be for an 18 yr old, best bet is to get some quotes.
pm me if you want anymore info, nick Thumbs Up

I have 125, Cagiva not Aprilia and mine is 260 TPFT.
I dont think it differs much in insurance on bikes and an NSR and RS were about the same.
