Anyone had owt like this before.

Riding along, and a ped comes out of his work place, quickly glances to the right (doesn't notice me) and tries to pull out in to my path.

I blare the horn, he sees me and brakes and at the same time, he nearly goes on to the bonnet of a car coming the other direction.

He'd simply not looked, thought he'd seen a gap and went.

Thing is he didn't even have L plates on.

I couldn't believe it, it was so close.

Whats the world coming to.

Ive seen lots of ped riders make seriously stoopid mistakes, even overtaking me when the car in front is turning right...

I've had another rider (old BMW) look at me, make eye contact, then pull out straight in front of me Shocked

I'm sure I didn't do anything that could have been interpreted as a signal to let him out.

I probably would have let him out, but the road behind me was totally clear - all he had to do was wait till I was out of the way.

Everybody makes mistakes.

Yeahh, but this one had no L plates, so you would expect he held a car license or bike license. He didn't look 16.

I couldn't believe it, you had to see it.

Had one the other day at a set of lights posing to his mates on the pavement. Lights change and off he goes pulling a wheelie then promptly slid off the back. I didn't laugh much, honest Laughing

I saw a great Ped rider today... think he falls into the "are gobby, immature little scroates" pigeon hole st3v3 referred to. He must have been just 16, adorned in full chav wear and a motocross helmet, his bike had all of 1/4 of it's rear L plate left. He pulled up alongside me at the que for the lights, and only stopped when his front wheel hit the car parked in front, spread both his feet wide on the ground like he had saddle sores and proceeded to bounce his front wheel off the back of the car giving it some throttle while he waited! Then when the traffic set off again he made sure he maintained his 1m distance from the car he was following Shocked

I did wonder how natural selection had allowed him to live so long! I'm slightly worried he's already bred too Thumbs Down

Got nothing really to do with peds. I had a bike (can't remember what) pull out on me a while ago. Worst thing was, he never even realised.
