SV Thou Tank cam footage

Just me messing about on the SV1000 using a bullet cam.

Some of the footage is a bit naff due to lense flare etc.

Setup is a 60gb Archos A500 with an Archos bullet camera.

Very nice and simple setup as the bullet camera is powered from the Archos unit and has it's own remote control.

This means there's only one wire and you can still stop and start recording while the recording unit is hidden away.

As this model uses a standard laptop HD I would like to swap the HD for a CF with 2.5” IDE converter. Also, on the way I have an ATC-2000, which is a self contained device that records 640x480 @ 30fps straight onto an SD card. While it’s a bit bigger than a standard bullet cam, it looks like it’s the way to go for convenience.

The specs are definitely better on the ATC-2000, we shall see whether or not the footage is.

If I remember, there was a lot of windnoise on the original footage - a foam cover for the microphone bit I suspect would help.

Shame about the footage though, watched about 30 secs and then clicked off...that SV probably makes nicer noises...

TBF Luke it's not often you have much decent/constructuive to say about people's contributions.

If you actually go back over the comments people have made, you'll see that it's not so much the idea of the footage that people didn't like, but more so the music and some of the roads you choose to film on.

Right, for 1, most of my comments are made at people who post utter shite, ie constant youtube links, or very boring subjects not even remotly about bikes.

Noone has a problem with the fact its tankcam footage; seem to remember the only suggestion was that you should film footage on country roads and fast roads instead of roads with houses and rndabouts everywhere.

I said about possibly not putting music over it as i bet that v-twin sounds freaking sweet! Would much rather hear that for 6 minutes that some German ramblings.

Any chance you can upload the video without th music? Or is it just pure wind noise?
