Alot of bikes out there with a strap on the pillion seat, but no phsyical handles or rails...

Do universal rails fit, or could handles from other bikes be stuck on?

Those handles you wear look/seem a bit stupid.

get your passenger to hold on around the waist, this also stops them leaning at angles oppisite you when doing a turn. in my experience not many passengers are good with rails. and tend to make riding more dangerous.

you would probly have to get something made specially for your bike utilising your fixing points

You could also try those love handle jobbies.

TBH, the grab rail was the first thing that was ripped off of my bike.

The love handles are actually really good, although I've got a rail too for pillions I don't really want hanging onto my waist...

Get the pillion to hug your body. Yeah I know if you dont fancy them it might be awkward and it depends on the rake of the bike.

But we steer mainly by body shifting. A pillion hanging on to grabs can be a fucking liability.

You will get helmet bashing doing this but it will help you to change gears better (well more smoothly). So a bonus. You get to be a smoother rider.
