Now this looks like the kind of bike that could tempt me away from sports bikes. Unlikely, but possible. Anyway I got a letter through the post inviting me to take a Duke for a test ride not long ago so I might just have to take them up on that Thumbs Up

I had a look at them in the flesh at my local KTM dealer last weekend. Lovely looking bikes, I'd definitely have one over any of the current sportsbikes.

I've been considering buying one, as well as many other things, but the tank range would do my head in.

Hmm... I can see the appeal but to me it looks too jagged... looks like it's made out of Mechano.

They looked awsome at the bike show, thing is again their seating posistion is very much upright, but id still get one purely for fun, they must be awsome to rag about with.

I wouldn't buy new though so it'd probably be an 06. More or less decided against it now anyway.

Do it. I took one out when they launched the Superduke and it was awesome. You don't get the outright speed of a sportsbike, but that doesn't seem to matter (it's no slouch), as it's so much fun to ride.

I love the 'everything forward, massive bulky front and tiny rear end' thang it's got going on. When you see them in the flesh they are such an interesting bike. I can't help but get jealous when I see someone riding one.

ok, I only mentioned it because I'd just read it... FYI I also read that you can buy a larger tank for the 06 model from KTM as an optional extra Thumbs Up

The other main reason is that I've had loads of problems with the dealership that is now my nearest KTM stockist, it all nearly ended in me having to pursue them through the courts. The next nearest is over 60 miles away and I couldn't be bothered with the trek when there are other bikes in the running from nearer dealerships.

Does spark my interest though, but not enough to make a big effort. I'd not considered that there'd be an 07 version with a larger tank to be honest. Thumbs Up

Decisions, decisions, eh. Wink
