Thanks Vespa. At least I know someone was reading. That sounds like a nice plan, I'll have to look into that next year. I definately want to see further east, and norway is meant to be beautiful and untouched. Where have you been? You sound travelled.

Tintin, I haven't seen the site before, I will have to have a read when I'm not working. Thanks for the links, it looks like some facinating people on there. Incidentally, a friend and I were talking about this very subject. I said if he wanted to travel, I would put 50quid a week into an account for him. In 2 years time (when my debts are paid), we'd swap.

The reason for the night travel, was if I wanted to save on a nights accomodation, or if wheather conditions were adverse to camping, or just to save time. It does mean you miss seeing whats around you, but I don't think the danger is too high, less people on the road is nice. Besides, in the UK if I have to cover distance, I ride at night, so I'm kind of used to it.

MrTee - I'm not that kind of guy. So far, I haven't had an acceptance for my proposals, but I'm told third time lucky. Meeting up with the lovely Alice this Friday, which will be fun. She's a lovely girl. Its funny how solutions find your problems.

Thanks again all for reading my waffle, I only hope it inspires you. This has been the best trip of my life! I really think that anyone who thinks it may be for them, should try it. Its really not that difficult. Sorry about all the waffle. If anyone has any questions, keep them coming. Anything I can do to help someone else, I will.

If I can do it, anyone can. Be lucky all, and live your dreams.

P.S. A friend handed me a copy of Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, So I'll let you know if its any good.

Top read from start to finish. Would love to do a mini trip next year but no more than 5/6 days to get the feelers out for something more along the lines that you did. Fantastic Thumbs Up

Mate that was bloody superb.

What a pair of bollocks you have. I found parts of that quite moving actually.

I just booked the ferry ticket (1 month return) and went with it. The thursday before I left, I noticed the Brno GP was on at the weekend, so I headed that way first.

There really is no planning necessary, you could use a lonely planet if you like, but the best thing I've found is to follow advice from people you meet along the way. Whichever way you choose, its a lot of fun.
