125s for the Bigger Biker

Hey everyone,

I'm 18 and really want to get into biking. How ever, I'm 6'1" (Maybe 6'2"), and 15.5 stone. Anyone know of a decent 125 which I won't dwarf?

the hyosung comet is supposed to be one of the larger 125s also the honda varadero 125 as well.

MZ 125 SM.

Im 6ft1 and its accomodated me easily. Only 125 i sat on apart from the ugly varadero that didnt make me look like a dog humping a football.

Bloody good ride as well

Honda Vandero 125 , its an enourmous bugger, more or less the same as its bigger bro , cept for the engine bits pipes and wheels.

this 125 which I burn past daily is bigger than my beefy NTV

the Honda shadow 125 is quite big too , though low seated and odd position .

Personally I would reccomend against the comet and the Varadero, while both are big, they're all also heavy and slow.

6'1"/6'2" isn't excessively big, you'd probably be fine on a bike like the NSR125.
Alternatively, I'd suggest you look at trail bikes like the DT125, KMX125, Aprilia 125 trail bikes etc - these can all be picked up for fairly reasonable prices second hand

I'm 5'11" and the NSR125 suited me just fine. I think your best option is to go sit on a few and see what feels right!

im 6' and 14 stone and my rs125 is perfectly comfortable - its not slow either (well, compared to other 125's that is)

My CG125 is fine for me. I'm 6"2 and 14.7 stone. Although i know it's small i'm guessing i'm not going to get much bigger.

I would recomend the Varadero also, I hover around the 15stone mark and the Dero was fine.

I'm a 5'7" ish girl, so I'm not small (though not quite the size of some of you guys either) but even so I sometimes find it hard to handle my ybr because it's big and heavy... everyone else comments on how big and heavy it is too, even our neighbour who's a builder and has muscles like steel. And next to some of the 125 traillies the ybr looks very small and ordinary, so there will be plenty of choice out there... I guess it all depends on what you feel comfy sitting on the back of

May aswell buy a car as buy a cruiser IMHO.

The comet is a canny big bike.

NSR or crosser matey unless you like cruisers, you want real biking experience and if you intend to buy a street bike or sports a cruiser will give you a false feel for motorcycling.
