I Just use any old rucksack that fits, got a Karrimor one at the moment from Millets which is a good fit and plenty roomy, then just buy a canoe bag like this https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/20-L-Dry-Bag-for-Kayak-Canoe-Sailing-Rucksack-Liner_W0QQitemZ180045601541QQihZ008QQcategoryZ15272QQcmdZViewItem#ebayphotohosting although mine is black and from Millets too, but you get the idea.

Get one of these, not only is it waterproof but its also hi-viz (which is very reassuring when you're coming home in the dark winter evenings and when its foggy)

Get the big one for a normal-sized bag as you can tighten it as much as you like.

The only downside, I guess, is that you'll look like a bumble bee!

sounds a lot like a bin liner in a normal rucksack to me

not often i agree with bazza, but bin liner in normal rucksack FTW !

although personnaly i think its best when on the bike to use a tankbag, tailpack or panniers

especially when 2nd hand stuff is dirt cheap on ebay

I use a rucksack from a company called Vaude. It's a cycling/outdoor company, never leaked and comfy enough for me to wear for 8-10 hour's of cycling with a fair bit of gear in it.

https://www.vaude.co.uk/

I'd also take a look at a company called Orlieb, bit expensive but they have the reputation and experience that goes with it, used alot by cycle courier's. https://www.ortlieb.de/index2.php?lang=en

Snap, though I use a 65 litre jobby. It has improved my riding posture too. Laughing
