This little quandry has been puzzling me for a while.

The word 'shamon' (sp?) appears in a George Michael song, and more obviously in Michael Jackson songs.
It is also a popular Avid Merrion catchphrase when he is Michael Jackson.

So, can anyone shed any light on the origin and meaning of this word?

I find myself saying it out loud after pulling off a rather silly overtaking manouvre and would like to put my mind at rest that I'm not saying anything which could cause me any harm.

Many thanks,

From the urban dictionary - It is not a derogerative not offencive term but is simple a shout out to exclaim someones entrance, or delight.
