Probably not this year, due to shortage of funds.
But will agree with G on the weather front, on and make sure you get to the first dune at the start line for the first race....and get your camera's ready....wikked stuff!

Sadly they run a staggered start now. Start still looks impressive, though.

Don't need a proper mx bike Rolling Eyes (*alough you may not mean this).

Everts didn't win. Someone that had won a couple times before did, something Knight, I think.

Infact, an enduro bike would be better I suspect, however beggers can't be choosers and that and you do already have a bike that could be useable.

Wasn't such a range of heavier and such like bikes this year, but have seen some quite big ones in t he past.

I believe this had 'mz' on the side (though not sure which model specifically...

Oh and I really, really need to get fitter again, if I want to consider doing it next year. I'm knackered now and I just rode a bike down the motorway and back with some standing around inbetween Confused.

An MZ would be totally outclassed. I actually want to finish the race if I enter.

I'll put some effort into blagging an enduro bike for next year.

David Knight 2002 winner and 2 x world enduro champion.

Was hoping for Everts to retire with a bang though.

(How do they keep track of winners? Do they give actual hopefulls a transponder or does a skivvy attempt to keep track of the numbers passing him?)

Finishing the race requires keeping it running, not a powerful machine.

As far as doing well, well that requires skilland I suspect none of us are quite up to motocross world champions that didn't win it Razz

If you saw the number of people pushing their bikes out the fences; a lowly tuned MZ that's designed for road use might be just the ticket - saw the MZ near the end, so it probably did finish Smile.

They used to have a system where every lap you go through a filtered section where they take your numbers. However this year I believe they are soley using transponders - there was often big queues for the lap scoring bits previously.

There have been lots of MZ motocross bikes built recently...

I believe nobblies are available in those wheel sizes too...

A front suspension swap, and it might just be the ticket...
