does anyone know if there are any front calipers that will fit the front of an xj900f and work better than the crap twin piston ones on there now

Hi

Probably worth stripping them and rebuilding them first. Possibly new seals.

While later Yamaha calipers might fit (ie, bolt to the forks), the issue will be the size of the disks. Think the older XJ disks are far smaller than anything current with better calipers.
