So its 25 days till one of my exams , a tough cookie too , its a tax exam , I've been through the text book 3 times and have been going through the past exam questions and keep finding tinty nuggets of info I deemed insignificant in the original text.

Any ideas on how to motivate myself?

I'm using the old , Jam tommorow ie once I've done it its over never to be done again , best invest the time now or invest more in the future for a resit.

I just find I can't do more than 3 hours on any given day and wander off to do something meaningless like make something to eat , these things are seriously boring the hell outta me and I'm not in the safe zone yet I think I'll score around 45-60 (50 = pass) ,

any ideas?

Ta

I've always been of the opinion that you either know it or you dont.

When I did my BTEC in motor vehicle engineering (mechanics) I got 97% in 20 minutes of a 90 minute exam.

I found revising whilst doing other things helped me far more than sitting down to revise.

I made a large amount of mind maps (diagrams of information showing how these snippets interlink, with pictures and colours to trigger memories) and carried them around with me. I even took them to the gym!

The process of writing out the mind maps and *thinking about how I could condense such a large volume of information into sheets of A4 really helped it to sink in.

Maybe aim to get all of your mind maps completed within a week (use the sections within the text book to break it up), then carry them around for a week. Break up your revision sessions, you'll never achieve anything by sitting for hours trying to learn the same things. Maybe set times for things. Mind maps in the morning, then have lunch, go out and do something, then do a practise paper, have a break, come back to the paper and mark it, checking those things you got wrong, then flick through your mind maps before you go to sleep.
