 |
|
ok, here we are, middle of november and my renewall is due at end of december([email protected] odd!) so, when should i start looking around/getting quotes iv'e been riding two years, so.., i should have 2 NCB, 1 accident in the last 2 years(their fault), riding a category 7 NS125R, am 18 and previous quotes have been:
1st year(50cc)=£520-ish
2nd year(125cc)=352-ish
is there any commonly known cheap companys whom would be nice to me ?
or are there any haggling techniques which could be used?
i know some may say it's a question that should be kind of left to insurance company's, but would like to be prepared for the sting ...
thanks.. any help greatly appreciated.

Commonly known cheap companys, its not that easy otherwise everyone would use that insurance company.
Haggling techniques, well call around all the insurance companies in the back of Bike Trader. Once you've got it down to the cheapest few (5-10 companies), call back around those saying "well company xyz has quoted me £abc, can you beat that?" and repeat until none of them will lower their price anymore. |

I started with doing some online quotes using the major websites. Then a few of them (A Quote spring to mind) would call me to offer lower than the online premiums.
Remember that cheapest does not always mean best. You want to think about thinks like: breakdown cover, helmet/leathers cover, legal cover.
As you pay less, some of these things may not be included and are commonly £30-£50 to add onto your premium. ____________________ Like a Yorkie - I'm not for the girls |
