Road legal, off-road tyres.

I'm looking for some road-legal, off-road tyres for the DR. Need to be road-legal, as it's one of the requirements of the Hafren rally, but the bike is used almost exclusively off-road and on green-lanes.

Any recommendations?

I'm running Bridestone Gritty ED663 (front) and ED668 (rear) on my XR and they're road legal.

I used IRC TR8's on road for 2 years and they where great. VERY chunky tyre, handles the rough stuff well.

I've heard a lot about Mitas tyres, but nobody's been able to confirm their legality on the road. I've not even been able to see one to look for the all-important "E" mark on the sidewall.

In 2004 I got caught out by the Hafren scrutineers because the supposedly road legal tyre didn't have the "E" mark, and was therefore not allowed.
