what was it like, just failed my car test on ''not pulling back over to left hand side soon enough after overtaking a stationary car as there was a T junctin ahead, with a car waiting to pull out, but so my slow return to correct side inconvenienced another road user''(on a road I have priority on as i was already on that road, the other car wasn't) only got 3 minors out of fifteen, really pi$$ed off..
but going for bike test now instead..and hopefully pass... Praying Clapping

Best feeling in the world.

Don't get above yourself and know your limits.

Most importantly, enjoy it!

Agreed, that's where the plastic fantastic fans have one up on us. A small givi screen (even a really small one) can apparently make a LOT of difference. But i'm a tart and IMO the screens are ugly.

Late autumn isn't exactly the best time to be on a new, bigger bike. If you're not bothering with the restrictors, beware that the extra power can endanger you, as well as being able to get you out of really sticky situations.

[/Boring bastard]

Remember to have fun, though Thumbs Up Very Happy Afterall, isn't that what riding is about?

Jack

Know what you mean, JC. Was riding along the A50 this afternoon at 110mph and I thought either my head was going to fall off or that my arms would be ripped from their sockets, the bike just carrying on down the road with two severed arms attached to the handlebars.

I think I found the highest speed I can tolerate on a naked bike.

Well done on passing your test. I dont feel comfortable going over 70mph on the bandit 650 im riding whilst my bike is being repaired, the wind blast is incredible.
My dl650 is like a sofa in comparison.

Yeah the old neck-muscles take a punding for the first few times, then it all suddenly goes away Very Happy

Fitting even a tiny screen makes a LOT of difference. I had a damaged Hayabusa screen kicking about which I modified with an angle-grinder to fit my XJ1100. The difference was incredible, I could happily cruise at 110-120 on the bike where before it was very uncomfortable.

well done Thumbs Up
remeber the morning I passed, bandit had been insured in garage for 3 months - spent all day on it - and I'd imagine 120 on naked bike would hurt the neck after a while Wink
