Went riding over Salisbury Plain / Coombe Martin with the lads of TBM.

My ktm has been pretty poorly of late and it was a total pain, she kept cutting out > overheating > not wanting to start (left hand side kicker) so Sundays ride on the Plain was a lonely one Crying or Very sad .

Saturday was attended by 18 riders , loads of fallers and break downs due to the river crossings and very slippery conditions but a top day.

After spending all day in the workshop my running problems have been sorted at last Thumbs Up
Its funny how no matter how good you think you are at fixing bikes there will always be something that totally stumps you.

I bought the KTM 620 of evil-bay knowing it had a intermittent running fault, the bike had been to 4 dealers trying to sort it before I owned her.

Simple, it was a regulator that worked one minute but gave in the next.

This bike has no battery and a combined CDI coil so even a loss of a few volts made the CDI coil close down, sounds easy now its sorted but Twisted Evil as i have mentioned before in my posts exotica really take some serious looking after ,( as well as new back ac10 nobblies which it destoys in 300 miles Rolling Eyes

See you on the lanes soon > keep it dirty Thumbs Up

Looks like fun - and yes, KTMs don't like water. Mine tends to throw in the towel if the water's too deep.

From the photos, it seems you had quite a convoy out there - hope more than one of you had a map Very Happy

AC10s are supposed to be good - must get a new tyre on mine before the Hafren. You doing that?

Just had a look at the Halfren thread Crying or Very sad next year I hope Thumbs Up

Big number of riders on the Plain is no problem (its the size of The Isle Of Wight )
50+ is not unusual on Sundays so its all fine as long as you stick to the rules and give the rangemasters a call before you go ! (meet them at a arranged place and sort out phone numbers> tell them when you will be off Plain > they are a good bunch who will come and help if you get into trouble, they also have a helicopter on patrol for real nastys )

Ac10s > my favourite for the big KTM> BUT a bit pricey considering the crappy milage I get out of them Evil or Very Mad .

My Ktm 620 doesnt mind water at all , it just a bit of a

Rolling Eyes bitch at times , thas why I named her siccy vicci > after the wife Razz
