swapping bike no claims to a car?

this is the story.

ive been biking 2 years but driving one, i have 2 ncb on the bike and none on the car and the bike ncb onto the car takes the insurance down by over a grand any help to do this ladies an gents?

Tesco and Direct Line have done this for me before.

I'm not sure they'll be too cheap for an Impreza though, I was once told by one of their underwriters that it'd be cheaper for me to go and insure a Porsche 911 Turbo.

Your insurance is going to cost a forune on that regardless mate.

I didn't think it was a problem Bike to Car. I know most wont to car to bike though.

Only a few places would do bike to car when I first strated driving about two years ago.

ecarinsurance will also, as well as those mentioned.

just get yourself a cheap runaround for a year then get your impreza.

of course, it depends how bad you want one though....

You should 'lose' your NCB on the bike if you transfer it to a car.

You WILL lose them, they can be transfered back though, i ahve called insurance companies about this. You can only use your no claims on one policy. However Ecar/ebike insurance are making it so you can ahve your bike and car on the same policy, wont come in until next year though.

I would avoid ebike/ecar like the plague, they are a nightmare to claim through.

They farm out all the little jobs of claiming to different companies, disrespect data protection and have no communication. 12 companies later, a salvage company attemting to take the bike before it is written off round the claimes house, using the excuse of "well you have gotten around so far so you obviously don't need a hire bike" and still no settlement.

They are absolutly awful.

And it was non fault.

Thats odd, I was recommended to E-bike by friends that were all insured with them and had previously made claims... One had even left carole nash after a bad experience. But whatever.

ive done the run around thing for the year, now ive stopped smoking i can afford one without the no claims (i think ive got 1 yers ncb on the car too, not sure tho) but obviously if i can make the insurance cheeper then it would be stuipid not to.

i no longer need the no claims for the bike, decided to sell up and buy an offroader of some sort

yeh i think this one might go into the carpark without writing it off jimmy, ill be able to come on rideouts in the car too, my dodds might also approve of it as well!

I'm with Admiral on a 10 month accelerator scheme atm with my car and MCE with my Bike but i'm not sure whether to go with both when they both run out.
