Confused 33kg less than the CBR? Big whoop, the CBR makes an extra 45bhp! God knows why they put a 500 single in it. Rolling Eyes

Closest thing that the emission laws allow to an Aprilia RS250.

My RGV is reputed to weigh 130kg and make 55bhp. This is almost the same...

Shame it won't have the knife edge powerband though, but even so I bet it will sell like mad!

Considering it makes the power of the a Inline 400 and near the power of an SV at only 133KG, it will sure be a bit of a rocket. Would love to test ride one.

sounds pretty amazing to me! imagin a reliable mito! i think there is a big market out there for baby sports bikes since 400's died off and 250 2t's are becoming extinct. sounds a seriously fun bike!

Tis a cool idea yet a fairly crappy one.

It's obviously much much better than the 125, but it's starting to compete with the sports 600s, which obviously it'll loose out to, probably in terms of handling but certainly power.

Bit of a street sleeper granted, but it's nothing amazing in my books.
It's like having a supermoto's lack of power and fun for wheelieing, without the wheelieing.

I had a mito 125 for a couple of years and let it rot in my shed when i got my licence .
When I got round to selling it I delivered it to its new owner I didnt want to part with it the handling on the 125 is amazing if it had more power and adjustable suspension it would be better than any 400.

If its anything like the Aprilia RS250, it'll win on corner speed.

Nah, it doesn't.

No it isn't. Find a brand new sports 600 for 4k.

I am, and it wouldn't have a Supermoto related 500 single in it. The maintenance on those is worse than on the 2 strokes.

This is going to be a seriously fun bike. Get over your prejudices and enjoy the first mini sportsbikes since the ZXR-400s. What we should all be hoping now is that this pushes Aprilia to release the SVX twin powered rs450... Praying

A torqey big single in a relatively light chassis with good handling?

Sounds great to me.

In this age of draconian anti speeding legislation, perhaps a bike that has great acceleration and handling but will only just do 100mph isn't such a bad idea.

Be truthful now-exactly what percentage of the performance, can you use on a modern litre-plus sports bike on a road like the Snake Pass? You don't need 100bhp+ to have a great ride.

Its not exactly a new idea though-people have been shoe horning XTZ660 singles into TZR 125 frames for yonks!

Definitely looks more like a bike for fun to me though (that seat sure doesn't look comfy...), that would be the only thing putting me off as I need a bike for more than just fun.
