Hang on - one dickhead riding like a numpte doesn't give anyone the right to assume that all riders are like this. I know for one that I am sensible on my bike.

What about all the car drivers that speed too? Have you gone to a load of car sites and said the same?

Nasty Crying or Very sad Thoughts to the riders family and friends

Goes to show the point about how racing around town is incredibly stupid though Sad

err...Not to flame you Chunk. But you did mention in a thread where a good friend of yours, was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident, had actually "made you brush up on your attitude towards biking". Not saying you weren't sensible to start with, but it was something that made you even more sensible.

How conservative can a biker go?..Pack the helmet and leathers up and leave them in the wardrobe. Confused

My mate passing away didn't make me more sensible just more scared of what can happen. I was sensible from day one.

Mark didn't die cos he was speeding it was just a tragic accident when all comes to all. The reports say that he caught the rear wheel of the bike infront when moving left to get ready for the corner and (although he must have been riding close) it was not really anyone's fault.

All I am saying here is that we shouldn't Tar everyone with the same brush. Yes it is sad that this person has died. Yes it is a shame that another fellow biker has passed away. No it isn't fair to tell everyone to slowdown (bejeesus if I slow down anymore I'll be parked up!!) as not everyone speeds. Maybe I'm just a bit touchy on this one but I don't see people on the car forums I go on saying slowdown cos someone had an accident.

As bikers we all know the risks and decide whether or not we take them. The police seem to pick us out from the rest of the world and descriminate against us.

On a recent ride out from the westhoughton bike club, all 19 bikes were stopped and checked over by a police roadside checkpoint. Not all cars were stopped. Whilst driving along a local road a few weeks ago, a police checkpoint stopped every 6th or 7th car but every single bike that went past.

It's descrimination!

Confused what it is, is that most of the time it is a minority that act like numptees-& the rest of us suffer cos of it. most of us ride generally very well & know the dangers that come and go with riding,...again it is just those who take the piss out of riding & their lives & f*** it all up for the rest of us. oh,..& by the way,...im stopped enough times too!!!-it is all down to the individual copper/or how your riding. i personally believe we should have a car free country!!. see?. good-luck,..be safe. each & every one of us represent the bike riding community-our riding is the reflection on views of others.

ps: new undermarked traff.cop. bike out & about in london METPOLICE area from friday 25th.
BD03 SSX. watch out!!.

Errr, they may only have 25ish hp, but it's still don't take that long to get to 80...

Though the way the thread starts with a 'TVP' and then continues with a 'MET' cop makes me a teeny bit suspicious Confused
