I failed due to forgetting lifesavers and stalling on my way into the test center. My instructor told me if i hadn't stalled i could of said about the lifesavers. FFS. £60 down the drain.

I've already been folowed by a friend (ex driving instructor) and i failed Sad ....

A pass on your first test is usually down to a lot of hard work! At least you know what you need to improve on! (Doesn't seem to be that much really).

One more test and you'll av passed Laughing

Sorry to hear you didnt pass, but apart from that you it sounds like you did pretty good, so at least you know what to expect next time. But if your on a very tight budget like me, that £60 is a real kick in the teeth Crying or Very sad

Bad Luck Sad

Put it for your test again as soon as you can afford it.At least you know what to expect next time, and its probably not as bad as you thought.

Stalling is not necessarily a fail..... but the examiner will expect you not to panic, but to keep calm and pull away again, safely (doing obserations etc) and without undue hesitation. So try not to go to pieces if it happens again.

In the meantime, if you have bike ...get out and practice as much as possible. If you don't have one, consider hiring one. If you drive a car, get into the habit of doing lifesavers in the car.

Have a look at this posting by Slavo, I found it very useful when I was getting geared up for my test.

Above all dont get disheartened.

what made it worse was i didn't actually stall but by the time i realised i'd mananged to push the bike out of the major into the minor road so he failed me on that. Rebooked for same time 2 weeks. I realised too it's £35 to the instructor and a day off work.

Why did you push the bike from a major to minor road, what happened?

Sounded like i'd stalled and i thought "Shit get out of the way" as the road into cwmbran test center is unbelieveably tight and a lorry from the industrial estate comes flying down and you'll know about it when actually i hadn't stalled it and if i'd carried on i could of argued about the lifesavers and probably passed.

not sure exactly. Went out up around Henllys i think. Did my U Turn in Fairwater i remember and did an emergency stop on Ty Coch Way. Then went passed the speed camera and through Oakfield up over the bridge. Nevermind worst comes to the worst Newport opens December 4th.

Nice one Batman Thumbs Up

If you can pass in the winter it surely sets you up for being a better rider.
