Personally I love stew and dumplings in the winter or shepards pie. I know the threads a bit random but it's getting cold now and I am sure you all have a favourite winter meal.

This amazing pie my Mum stumbled on the other year after Christmas - Venison, turkey, bacon, cranberry and gravy. Best meal I've ever eaten. Drooling

Irish Stew! Like I made on saturday! Was lovely and warming and tasty too.

That and a good curry for the winter too, keeps them colds at bay, and if you have one they can unblock ya nose!

pepper soup: A couple of veggie oxo and chilli sauce as a base, then just go mad and add random crap (spring onions/noodles/black pepper/baked beans/sweet corn/marmite). It warms you up, unstuffs your nose and leaves you aloof, alert and ready for anything

Brocoli & Stilton soup is a nice winter warmer. Holds it heat.
Chilli, Stew is my fav anything with veg too.

I have been intending to learn how to make a nice casserole, perfect winter food.
Last night I cooked my first roast dinner - roast beef. If I do say so myself it came out absolutely perfect. It was easy too so I'll be doing that every sunday from now on until barbecue season!

"Stuffed" food...

Stuffed peppers with a nice spicey mince mix, stuffed marrow, stuffed squash etc.

Sausage and mash with nice thick onion gravy. Drooling
