This has just been 'revamped' and brought back to tv today
Anyone else see it?
I feel very sad at what they have done to the ol' show Crying or Very sad

'In my day' it was someone celeby, (different ones), sat in a chair, reading the book, and showing a pencil drawing or two now and then, and it was sooo cool Surprised
Your imagination went wild... and you were taken far flung places..

Now it is all live action and computer generated animations... too 'glitzy'!
It leaves no room for the kiddies to dream up anything. It is all there on the screen in front of them
And it is the same bloke reading it all the time I think. Don't know who he is

My best memory of Jackanory was Rik Mayall reading Georges Marvellous Medicine

Marvellous. He was so hyper about it Laughing Thumbs Up

That almost evades the whole point of it being a book, they may as well just have another tv show. Sad
