when the spring hits next year round, i want to get a major service done for after the winter (and it will be due one after the extra mileage) but i want to try and get a bit of extra low - mid range power out of the bike if possible. What kind of parts of the bike can be adjusted/ tuned to achieve this? The bike is currently completely stock, and so far im thinking of getting a micron exhaust, K & N air filter, anything else?

Getting the jetting (or injectors) set up is a definite if you're doing can and air filters.
Ideally, I'd look out for a full system cheap on ebay.

Down gearing may give a similar kind of feel.

However, as you'd be looking at spending quite a few pennies in the end, I'd be tempted to see about chopping it in for a 750 SRAD - some good deals on them and they're a pretty similar bike apart from the engine which should have a fair bit more midrange.

go down a couple of teeth on the front sprocket, this will give you better acceleration. You will lose some top end speed but its in expensive to do, and compare how much time you spend red lining in top to how often you red line in the first two or three gears.
Your speedo will be over reading because it takes the reading off a nut on the front sprocket.
wouldnt bother with K&N or a different exhaust not realy worth the money for the gains you will achieve, youd be better off saving the money you were going to spend on these and put towards a newer bike

Is this not fuel injected.I think have fun micron/k&n and sort the fuel out, then any one that i know sorts the gearing to what track they are going to race on.If it is for road it depends what suits you sprocket wise.

I agree with G, a 750 might be the most productive, cheapest and easiest route to take.

Depending how much you want to spend..

A full system and air filters might give you 10bhp if you're INCREDIBLY lucky and/or the bike's set up badly already.

That's a ~10% boost and would cost a ballpark figure of £200.

Go down 2 teeth on the front sprocket and it'll feel more powerfull. That'll cost about £20. Depending on fitting.

But yes, I also agree, if you really want the most amount of power for you money, sell it and get a 750. Sadly SRAD 600s don't go for much anymore.

get the 750 if you want a proper increase, or go for a dynojet kit, new can and filiters, full service and go down a few teeth, other than that you wont be able to do much without starting to spend mega bucks!

Big bore it, but then agan you may as well just get the "fiddy".

If you can afford to, buy the 750 now over winter, then sell your 600 in the summer when the market perks up again.
