You will get used to it, I was aware that there was something in my eye initially, especially as it felt 'wrapped up' and didn't seem to get as much air to it.
I hardly notice them now, provided they are in the right way up...
What type of contact lense do you have? Daily disposable lenses tend to be thinner, and therefore less noticeable, than monthly disposables. ____________________ Avast! Pirates ahoy!

check it for scratches (the lense not the eye) and split...
could be you have something wrong with it..
although if it's split normally it doesnt 'suction' to your eyeball.
Saying that... If you've not worn them before its normal that you would be aware of it...
I don't know if you just get used to the sensation, but it'll feel a lot more normal after wearing them for a few times.
Same as putting them in.. You'll desensitize to it! ____________________ Funny, I used to hate being spanked as a child!

Are they disposables? If so, are they one-day or thirty-days?
I tried 30-day disposables, but it always felt like I had lumps of cold blu-tac stuck to my eyeballs. Then I tried the one-day disposables, but they always dried out until it felt like I was pinching my corneas with clothes pegs.
The optician should have measured you up for them first and let you know if there was any deformity with the eyeballs that might make lenses uncomfortable to wear. Also, if you've got exceptionally dry eyeballs or oily tears, then lenses are going to turn out to be a bit more grief than they should.
I prefer to stick with glasses, although they don't get along very well with crash helmets |

It's totally 100% normal for it to feel a bit weird at first. When I first got mine I couldn't keep them in all day as my eyes would get really dry, but after a week or two of wearing them every day they felt fine.
You'll probably always be aware of the fact you're wearing contacts but you/your eyes soon get used to 'em. ____________________ Photos and that |

Like others have said, you will know that you have something in your eye, but it will pass with time. The more you use the lense the more you will forget about it because it will just be part of your routine. You'll soon find yourself waking up, putting in lense and forgetting about it within seconds. ____________________ "One moment can change a day, one day can change a life and one life can change the world." wearing just one lense is ok for a bit, but if you do it for a while there will be two effects
1) the eye without a lense will actually improve needing a less strong lense to correct it
2) You will develop a slightly odd appearance, as the eye with the lense will be more open while the lid on the other will be more closed. once you notice this, even if you start wearing a lense in the other eye, your slighlty more closed eyelid will persist to some extent
thats what happened with me anyway
but if one of your eyes is perfect vision and only one needs correcting, i guess this wont apply
i recommend buying lenses off the net once you know your prescription and toric details. much cheaper
toric disposable

toric monthly
https://froogle.google.co.uk/froogle?q=toric+monthly&btnG=Search&hl=en&show=dd
disposables are more comfy but tear if you wear them too many times and arent careful with them |
