its an easier way to reply.

Its really time consuming going to the post a reply page each time.

Ok, if I want to post a picture or something then I will go the post reply page, but if I just want to put in a text reply like this, its much easier to just use a quick reply box.

Its not hard to put in either. 2 pages to edit (i think) and you are done.

Ah, form - I read that as 'forum' for some reason.

My bad.

The one extra click needed never bothered me that much - and I find usually is as quick as scrolling to the bottom if you're replying to a post midway up.

I never reply to a post midway up a thread really, unless im quoting. I always scroll to the bottom and read all the posts, you never know if what you have said has already been said! Very Happy

Would there be any harm in putting it in, for those of us who want to use it?

Yeah, extra crap on the screen for those of us who aren't too lazy to press 'reply'.

Pffft, stop being lazy.

You three have 335 posts, 2,851 posts, and 256 posts yet you're moaning about having to click 'reply' which loads a page that's a massive 8.9 kB. Come back when you've each got more than 10k posts. Razz

surely it wouldn't hurt to be there? Its so handy... im not lazy... but its handy.

Its not going to disconvenience anyone else. Its not like some "extra crap" on the screen is really gonna affect anyone greatly.

Would be nice... sometimes my internet crawls to a halt during peak usage times, and even to load the reply page takes a little while...

And then ontop of that code Korn would have to add the code to to warn you if you'll lost karma for that post e.t.c and the too many smilies karma stuff e.t.c

Then it stops being quite that simple and something which takes you a few extra seconds per post then goes on to take Kornel an hour +...

no... it should all be programmed already into posting.php right? Well... easy as pie - the quick reply form is just a form taht points to posting.php, so should work normally Wink.
