Not knowing what to have for Christmas (funds won't stretch to what I really want), I may ask the wife to get me a bellypan for my 2006 Z750S (which is "candy raw plasma blue").

I already have a Powerbronze hugger in black and was considering going to Powerbronze or Puig for the bellypan (though alternatives will be considered). Neither of them make it in the colour of my bike, so colour matched would involve me spraying it.

Do I go for:

Black
Carbon effect
Colour matched (I would have to spray it)
None

Does anyone know of a decent spray paint supplier that can supply Kawasaki paint (preferably web based)?

Anyone who fancies paintshopping them onto my bike will get karma (bike pics here).

Personally I would get it colour matched to the rest of the paintwork. The hugger looks ok in black as it blends in with the wheel. Black is what you would expect to therefore see in that rear area, hugger or not. The belly pan however is a feature added for aesthetics and is in full view, so needs to look good.

As for web based bike paint suppliers, I've used this company before and the colour matches have always been spot on: https://www.bike-paint.co.uk

I voted colour matched, but from looking at your links I don't think that a normal black one would look too out of place due to it being reasonably small. If it were a full-length one like mine I'd say definitely colour matched. I reckon normal black would be fine, although colour matched would probably be better (imho). I'm not keen on carbon fibre anything, although some people love it so it's up to you Thumbs Up All depends on how much a re-spray costs

[Edit] One thing to watch out for if you go for a coloured bellypan is road dirt. All the shit off the road collects on your bellypan, so if you have a bright coloured bellypan (like my bright yellow one Sad) it looks grubby as hell even when it's only been slightly damp outside. Your colour of blue will probably be fine though

One i have, looks great - fatter than others as its a 2 part and sorts the empty space below the bike.

I heard a few bad things about the Ermax bellypan here and here which put me off.

Have you had any issues with it?

I really don't like bellypans to be honest, just don't like the look at all.

If I was you I'd get an undertray/tail tidy to get rid of the big mudguard and sharpen up the rear Thumbs Up
