Hi,

I'm looking for some 10mm thread handlebar mounted mirrors for my GS500E.

I bought some tech7 ones and they are utter shit, theyre tiny and they magnify as well (Something I didn't know when I bought them).

Any recommendations? Looking for some that look decent, don't vibrate that much but most importantly offer good rear vision.

Cheers,

T

I also just bought some Tech 7 aero ones from Busters.

The quality to be honest looks crap. I saw yesterday in Hein Gericke some Carbon fibre effect round mirrors I think I am gonna go and buy these and just ebay these tech 7 ones.

Which tech 7 did u buy?

Is it the fact that they are so small you can see past your jacket?
I find with the original Hornet ones I have to tuck my arms in to see, only replaced em cause they rusted a litte think a trip to HG is in order again!

the Aero mirrors that you lot have got are cheap crap. Usualy used as cheap reeplacements for scooters!

I have some 'stalker' Mirrors from bikeit. there small and they magnify. i have set them up so i can see past my jacket. you cannot see alot with them but i am happy with them!

Check out www.bikeit.co.uk for other mirrors.

F1 and F3 mirrors and others liek that are too small IMHO

If you want good vision with small mirrors then maybe try bar end mirrors.

I put a set of GPz 305 mirrors on my MZ. They were very good, kind of wide angled, you could see loads in them. They were a trapezoid shape and actually stopped just inboard of the bar-ends so they don't smash if the bike falls off the stand.

Can't remember what size the threads are though.

funny this thread popping up, i just bought these from the streetfighter store today.

seen as motrax don't make the led indy mirrors any more or ever did? these come quite close to requirements, don't know weather or not to make the leds stay on as running lights or use them as indicators but the option is there Thumbs Up

those mirrors are strong but will scratch easily. The lights int hem are not intended to replace original indycators. and the wiring sticks out the side at the bottom of them.

indeed but being plastic you wont notice tiny scratches as they are black all the way through, plus i wasn't intending on throwing them about Laughing

they are not supposed to replace the original indicators either as they are only small leds hence, 'running lights' or additional indicators at an enhanced angle Wink
