The last few weeks Ive noticed that Im getting quite a lot of vibes through the bars/pegs. Its worst when im cruising at around 7k but not as bad when im accelerating quite hard. Any clues?

Its a 92 bike with 25000kms on the clock, if thats important.

Hi
If its from the front it might be sumthing to do with the steering head, it being to loose or the bbearings have gone. If your getting vibes threw the wingarm to the pegs it might be worn chain n sprokets, Thats why my bike vibrates anyway

Since it started Ive replaced the heads bearing and the chain and sprockets so I dont see how it can be any ot those, cept the engine bolts.

And why should the wheels suddenly go out of balance?

Ill check the engine bolts, see if thats the prob.

It couldnt be a piston problem, could it?

Shit that sounds like my last NSR It was a 1989 model. The vibrations were happening because my piston and barrel needed replacing. After that the suspension needed work also the top end of the engine. Total bill £600 so i sold the fucker as it was still runnin. I hope that aint the problem with your bike but get it checked to be sure

Geez man, sounds like my bike!!!! One of my main bearings had gone leading to big lumpy vibes. Take of the left hand side cover, and wobble the generator (ignition coil or whatever it is) up and down. If it wobbles then the mains might have gone. Theres on either side.
All the best
