PostPosted: 18:39 - 07 Dec 2006    Post subject: APRILIA RS50 STOLEN Reply with quote

At 2:45 today my Aprilia RS50 was stolen outside of my college in Highams Park, Essex, a White Ford Transit Van (long wheel base) drove upto my bike whilst I was in lesson, two men used long metal objects to pick the bike up from underneath and chucked it into the van, being in a classroom where I could see this happening me and a few friends tried to chase them but as soon as they saw us they jumped into the van and drove off, the bike is one off as it was customly resprayed in metallic black and stickered with custom stickers, as well as this the bike has a K&N Air filter and not a standard air-box, this really takes the **** because I got my track Aprilia today but I feel so bad having lost my road bike that I don't seem to be able to enjoy it at the moment, if anyone sees this bike (registration number plate: FE51 XYC) or see the parts to this bike like the fairings being sold on eBay please let me know as soon as possible, I have posted some pictures of my bike below to try and help anyone who might look for it for sale locally or on eBay, many thanks to any help, regards, Fahd...

Damn man, must have been horrible watching it actually happen from the window.

If it were me I would have jumped from the window shouting threats and abuse for the entire journey down.

God these threads always depress me... thieving scum...

Hope you get it back man.

I did shout abuse while running upto them, I got this much of the number plate: DY56 ...... it also had a large dent in the left hand side sliding door.

i take you told the cops, where was it taken?

there is a thread on here somewhere which has a link allowing you trace a reg plate to the vehicle it is reg'd to, if you find out what van, call the DVLA, tell them said van is parked on your private drive, pay £ 2-ish quid, get registered keepers details and go have a chat.... Thumbs Up Laughing Cool

{EDIT}
unfortunately, that minimum of reg plate won't get owt, try to think of anymore, then type it into here:
https://www.rac.co.uk/web/vehiclechecks/dvla_lookup/;jsessionid=3C53E2622AFC602F83A6965BDEEADB44

or just check any possiblitys, good luck.

Is this the same Highams Park with the postcode starting E4 ?

Just I have family there and never heard of anyone else from there.

I feel stupid to ask but you have showed no signs of it so far: Have you told the police ?

I had a disklock and steering lock on but it seems these are useless against the whole bike being picked up and chucked into a van, yes I am from Highams Park, starting with E4 and yes I have told the Police.

Awful. Always chain to a solid object people.

At least you got a partial index of the vehicle, although there are 17,576 to check. Having a vehicle model will help though. I just hope you get a police oficer that can be bothered to do the leg work.

Think it was 50cc red, REG: C22 FKP(Honda Cub??). Dont quote me on that but you never know what it could turn up.
