Hi,

Just cleaned my bike with Muc-Off.

Ended up using about 750ML of it because of the useless spray that comes with it, it's like a jet from a supersoaker...

I would've thought a mist would be better?

Do people apply this stuff with a cloth or are you supposed to use that much in a cleaning session? All I did were my rims and swingarm :S

I thought you had got your bike ACF'd Toby? Confused

Does that not work like a winter coat of wd40 where you spary it on and leave it as a layer between your bike and the elements til spring then?

I've just cleaned it now and ACF'd it.

Busters kept me waiting 4 weeks for my order of ACF, utter shit.

You've got to turn the nozzle until it's nearly turned off to get a mist, otherwise you get a jet of Muc-Off that could pierce a tank's armour and that uses 1/4 of the bottle Laughing

I find just spraying the stuff on and leaving it doesn't really work very well, however it's brilliant when you spray a bit on a sponge and wipe your bike down with it Cool

I water it down 50/50 as I reckon its plenty powerful enough. If I use loads of it at full strength I end up covering the street outside in bubbles etc. Its also much cheaper to buy the big 5 litre bottles of it and pour them into the 1 litre bottles.

As everyone has said, turn the nozzle to make it spray a mist instead of a jet.

Why not just drop some paraffin into a squirty bottle, diluted with some water if need be?

I only buy "branded" products when they actually make a difference from more 'basic' items - such as high(er) quality polishes and waxes.

Well it doesn't and it was nearly pitch black cos our intruder light is broken these are my reasons and I'm sticking by them.

I had to go back downstairs shortly after I posted this and scrabble about looking for the damn cap.

Only by luck I found it,.

I dilute it, pour half into an empty bottle and fill both bottles up with water, then you have two bottles for the price of one. Very Happy

It oes the same job like, brushing it in on the wheels/forks/brakes/swingarm etc. will take the dirt off alot easier too. Thumbs Up

The spray/handle mechanism on my bottle collapsed as soon as my clumsy hands got hold of it, so I transfered the liquid to one of my mum's plant sprayers - job done Very Happy
